Milan are still monitoring the 21-year-old defender as Roma launch a € 13 million offer

Milan are interested in signing Hellas Verona defender Matteo Lovato, claims a report, but faces competition from a rival.

The 21-year-old has had a somewhat important season in Serie A after making 20 league appearances this season, leading to widespread news that has attracted interest from several top Serie A clubs.

With AC Milan always looking for young talents to be able to develop in a future core, it seems that the Rossoneri have set their sights on Lovato, as Leo Duarte and Mateo Musacchio left in January, leaving a space to fill as only Fikayo Tomori is arrived – and his stay beyond June is uncertain.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Football Italy), Milan and Roma are interested in signing Lovato this summer, even though the latter has already launched their opening offer. The Giallorossi have already put on the table an initial offer of 13 million euros and while the Devil has not yet started the talks, he is closely following the central defender.
