Milan smiles because they should collect 6 million euros from the exit of the central defender

Leo Duarte was loaned to Istanbul Basaksehir in January and his loan will expire in six months. Fortunately for Milan, it seems that the Turkish team is willing to sign the Brazilian permanently.

Duarte made only one Serie A appearance last season before moving to Turkey, where he played 17 games. According to Mediaset, as quoted by MilanNews, Basaksehir am happy with the defender’s performance.

In fact, they seem willing to exercise the redemption option in January, valued at around 5-6 million euros. This is good news for AC Milan because it means they will avoid a capital loss, a good result considering how Duarte played in the Rossoneri.

Then again, the Turkish side could decide not to exercise the option and therefore Milan would have returned to the starting point. Hopefully Duarte will continue to do well in Turkey and earn his time at the club.
