Since Antonio and Gigio Donnarumma will leave at the end of the month, Milan have been forced to act on the transfer market. They quickly brought in Mike Maignan to replace Gigio, but Antonio’s replacement is not known.
According to Mediaset (via MilanNews), putting an end to all questions in this regard, Alessandro Plizzari will be the third goalkeeper of next season. The youngster has been on loan for the past two seasons, the last at Reggina.
He is very promising and some even believe he can become as good as Gigio, although expectations have seen a decline over the years. It will still be interesting to see Plizzari in the first team.
Of course, given that both Mike Maignan and Ciprian Tatarusanu are ahead in the hierarchy, we’re not talking about a lot of playing time. He might have a few minutes in a cup game, but nothing more.
