Real Madrid defender and club icon Sergio Ramos praised AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic for his “killer” mentality.
Ibrahimovic and Ramos have shared the top stage for most of the past two decades, with the two players forging very different but highly successful careers. The Spaniard has been with Real Madrid for over a decade and has racked up virtually every great honor imaginable, while Ibrahimovic has done the same – with the exception of the Champions League – but has done so in multiple countries.
During an interview for Prime Video, Ramos spoke about Ibrahimovic, praising him and emphasizing how age, if you have class, is not that important.
“I have a particular esteem for Ibrahimovic, we have never had direct contact but a career like this cannot be ignored. A great player, a killer for what he shows and on the pitch. An example for all players, “he said (via MilanNews).
“He has played in several countries, returns to Europe from the United States at 39 and continues to be decisive. A real example, he came from a bad injury and the fact that he wants to return to the national team is a source of pride for him and for the whole world of football. Football needs the best players, age doesn’t matter. There are no young or old players but poor and strong, and Zlatan is absolutely a champion. “
Interestingly, there have been some reports in recent months linking AC Milan with a possible move for Ramos, such as Eduardo Inda (via Calciomercato.it) recently stated that Juventus and Milan are also “following the evolution of history” e they wait for the right moment to launch their attempt.
Ramos obviously has previously admitted his admiration for AC Milan, naming them the second largest club in the world after Real Madrid in terms of history.
